NJ TRANSIT Sponsors First River LINE Job Fair On Tuesday, June 15, NJ TRANSIT hosted its first ever River LINE Job Fair aboard the Battleship New Jersey along the Camden Waterfront. More than 500 people attended the job fair that included 24 local employers. Some of the employers present included SEPTA, UPS, Genesis Eldercare, and Cooper Hospital. Before the job fair opened to the general public, there was a special preview for military personnel.
The River LINE Job Fair was held with the objective of connecting potential employees to prospective employers. The opening of the River LINE has presented new opportunities for more local employers to be accessible by mass transit that was not previously available. During the event, NJ TRANSIT also announced the beginning of 15-minute departures during the morning and evening peak periods. This new schedule gives commuters even more travel options in making their daily commute.
